This is a tune I stumbled upon that was released earlier this month…and it’s fucking dirty. Those synth stabs are lethal and would devastate any dancefloor within a billion mile radius of this universe. Marcel Woods may be one of the older producers in the game, but he obviously can still put out bangers. The thing is that these older dudes learned 15-20 years ago how to produce tunes, and they’ve just been riding the wave of music’s constant evolution. The tunes that ATB, Guetta, Tiesto and bros like Marcel Woods produced in the 1990′s are no longer popular in clubs unless they’re remixed, but you can’t take away the skill and the knowledge- which allows them to produce new tunes compliant with today’s standards. Compare that to rock bands like U2 and the Rolling Stones who still sound the same as they did decades ago, yet continue to tour and release new music.
