Holy fuck, this is awesome and exactly how I wish the majority of dubstep was.

Protohype ft. Alina Renae – Fly

I love the music Protohype has been putting out. Melodic and powerful with some solid production work.

[Free Download] Minnesota – Eternal Frequencies; Equinox

So this is exactly what I’m talking about when I say that there is some great dubstep/drumstep out there. The melodic stuff is where it’s at, and Minnesota does some really cool things in these two tracks production-wise. Very original.

Protohype feat. Ras – Bright Side

I’m really diggin’ this shit from Protohype lately. People often tend to lump all dubstep into one group – the more “bro-steppy” sound. The melodic stuff is really quality, in my opinion, and I can’t get enough of it. Protohype comes up with some ABSURD melodies.

Asaf Avidan – Cyclamen (MOARBASS ‘Lazerhead’ Mix)

It’s crazy how well Maor Levi can produce any genre of music, at least from what I’ve heard. He experiments with some dubstep here, and whether or not you like this type of music, I don’t think you can deny the quality at which it is produced, although I’m sure some still will (ass clowns).

[Free Download] Above & Beyond feat. Richard Bedford – Sun & Moon (Eric Farias Remix)

DOWNLOAD

“Sun & Moon” is one of those tracks that will never die. Truly one of the best modern sounding trance songs to come out. I was a bit skeptical about even listening to a dubstep remix of it, but I’m glad I did in this case. Eric Farias did a fantastic job with it.

[Free Download] Gramatik – Bluestep

DOWNLOAD

Blues and dubstep: two genres I’m not sure I have ever heard thrown together. I gotta say, though, I’m liking it. I’m always on the hunt for new sounds and styles and would certainly not mind hearing more like this.
